The Karachaganak field was discovered in 1979, it is one of the largest gas condensate deposits in the world.

The field development is carried out under the guidance of four international companies: BG Group (UK), ENI (Italy), the share interest in a company of each which consists of 32.5%, as well as Chevron (U.S.) - 20% and Lukoil (Russia) with a share capital of 15 %. To order to realize the Karachaganak project, these companies joined in a consortium of "Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V." (KPO).Karachaganak partners share their knowledge and experience to the Republic of Kazakhstan trying to use efficiently of both internal and external capabilities to maximize a resource development field.

Today Karachaganak has reached a record level of gas production. This gas field is the largest gas producing enterprises in Kazakhstan its rates of production compose about 45 percent of the total gas production in the country and about 16 percent of the total production of liquid hydrocarbons.

Within the overall SAP ERP implementation project in “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V. " company  Key Century experts accomplished a range of services for the preparation of  instructors  and an ultimate users training. In the course of the project were provided the following services:

• It was researched business processes of the functional areas of KPO and solutions of SAP system, modified in accordance with the requirements of KPO for appropriate regions.
• It was conducted an internal instructors training (key users) to the functionality of SAP system through a training on the working place and a conduction of seminars.
• It was designed training materials to transfer knowledge and skills on the use of SAP system. Training materials were constructed in two versions in English and Russian languages. Developed training material packages include the following documents:

1. Overview presentation of business processes.
2. Working instructions (including system "screenshots").
3. Demonstration videos to fulfill the transaction of SAP system, it was created in accordance with Adobe Captivate.
4. Exercises to consolidate the material

• It was worked out questionnaires jointly with key users to assess knowledge of ultimate users at the end of the courses.
• It was checked a quality of training materials and an availability of instructors.
• It was carried an assessment of competence and knowledge of trainers, prepared recommendations for their participation in the training for ultimate user in a team on the implementation of changes.
