The core mission of "NMSC "Kazmortansflot" JSC as a national maritime shipping company is to establish Kazakhstani national merchant marine and marine freight of domestic cargo.

Company’s main business activities are marine freight of oil, transportation of stone, freight forwarding and lease of personal chattels.

The project objective was to design automated budget management system. At the beginning of the project company departments stored planning data in Excel tables. Each department had own arbitrary form of Departmental Estimate (Department Budget). Therefore Budgeting and Economical Analysis Department’s staff was loaded to aggregate various ranges of tables in Excel files to Company’s Budget forms. This process took big amount of time and did not left time for analysis of budget performance. Actual data and main analytics were withdrawn from 1C-Accounting system manually.

From the list of solutions offered by "Key_Century" "Kazmortansflot" decided to implement solution based on software product "INTALEV: Corporate Finance 2005".

As a result of 9 month long implementation project the company get following outputs:

• Automated system of activity based costing;
• Classified and unified business activities, cost centers and cost items;
• Each department get an access to the system to input its planning data (unified planning forms);
• Options of automatically confirmation and adjustment of planning data;
• Budget performance reporting forms automatically generates by the system within a few minutes;
• Option of automatically calculation of KPIs (financial and HR key indicators).
